The winemaking tradition of the Gómez family begins more than 30 years ago in their childhood home in O Rosal. In 2002, Bodegas Altos de Torona was established. With its 94 hectares, Altos de Torona is the largest single vineyard in our area. On this hill, with views of the Miño River and close to the Atlantic Ocean, is the vineyard divided into plots, where the Albariño grape is mainly grown, as well as other native Galician varieties such as Caíño Blanco, Godello, Loureira or Treixadura. Its surface and our philosophy committed to sustainable development in all our processes has led to the establishment of extraordinary biological wealth, an object of desire for zoologists and botanists in which multiple species participate in their own way in the final character of our wines. This space is the habitat of 91 species of plants and 71 of animals, which continue to be ingredients of the entire process that enriches the vine from its roots, showing health and integration in Nature.
