Bret was born in Chicago and raised just north of the city. After graduating college, his burgeoning interest in wine landed him in Michigan where he harnessed his wine knowledge under the winemaker of a boutique winery while also earning various wine education certificates. Since moving back to the city, Bret has transitioned from wine production to wine sales. Resonating with our focus on small artisanal producers, he is eager to share the stories behind each label.
Bret finds intrigue in new and undiscovered regions, varietals, and winemaking styles, but will always pronounce the Nebbiolo-based wines of Piedmont and Champagne as his favorites.
In his spare time Bret enjoys reading, travel, playing Rummy with friends and family, and all things soccer.
