This boutique winery is part of a family of wineries founded by Napa native Charles Bartlett in 2008. Charles successfully guided what began as a private label wine business into negociant-style winemaking. Not happy to stop there, the team took another leap forward with the recruitment of highly skilled winemakers to craft palate-pleasing wines from carefully selected vineyards. For their Perrin + Dobbs wines, they enlisted Winemaker Chad Alexander. A Napa native like Charles, Chad grew up on Mt. Veeder and began working at The Hess Collection at age 14. While studying geology in college, he continued to hone his skills at the winery. When long-time Hess GM Robert Craig decided to start his own namesake winery on Napa’s Howell Mountain, Chad left his work at the United States Geological Survey to join Robert’s team. Chad then spent a decade immersed in the making of hillside Cabernets. Winemaker Chad Alexander has one very singular vision: to create the highest possible quality Bordeaux varietal wines.
